Questions
Windows questions
Can a foggy window be fixed, or does it need replacing?
Fog between the panes means the seal on the insulated glass unit has failed. In many cases a pro can replace just that glass unit and reuse the frame. Whether that works on your window depends on its age, brand and condition, so let the pro look at it first.
Do I have to replace all my windows at once?
No. Plenty of homeowners do one room, one floor, or just the windows giving them trouble. Doing several at a time can make sense for scheduling and for matching the look, but that is your call and something to talk through with the pro.
How much does window work cost?
We do not quote prices. Cost depends on how many windows, the size and style, the frame material, the glass you pick and the condition of the surrounding wood. Ask the pros who call you back for a written estimate, and compare more than one.
How soon will someone contact me?
We send your request to window pros serving your area, and they reach out to you directly. We cannot promise a specific timeframe, since it depends on each pro's schedule. If your window is open to the weather or will not lock, say so in your description.
Does GetMatchedPro do the window work?
No. We do not repair or install windows. Your request goes to independent window companies serving your area, and they handle the visit, the price and the warranty. Anything you agree to is between you and that company.
